Driving with Wāyu

You keep the fare. All of it.

Wāyu takes no commission on any ride, ever. It earns from access instead: you pay a flat price for a board that shows you a week of work in advance, and nobody takes a cut of what you drive.

The money

Where every dollar goes.

The fare, whole

No commission, no service fee on your side, no percentage that grows once you depend on it. What the rider is quoted as the fare is the number that lands in your account.

So where does Wāyu earn

From access. You pay a flat price for the board that shows you next week's work. That is the entire business, and it is why nobody here has a reason to touch your fare.

Cashing out costs nothing

Any time, no schedule, no fee, once you are over the minimum. Charging a driver to be handed money he has already earned is the same fee we refuse on the fare.

Tips are yours entirely

All of it, with nothing taken and nothing suggested by us as a percentage of anything.

The work

Choosing a week instead of answering a ping.

A week you can actually see

The claim board carries rides booked up to a week ahead, grouped by day, with the fare and the hour on each. You are choosing work rather than answering a ping and finding out afterwards.

Every card says how it fits your day

Free, fits, or tight with the actual number of minutes either side. A ride that genuinely cannot be driven alongside what you already hold never appears on the board at all.

Chains, as one decision

Rides that fit together are offered as one block with one total, and the empty miles between them are drawn rather than hidden inside it. All or nothing, both ways.

Asked for by name

A rider who favourited you sees your availability first, and their rides reach you before anybody else sees them.

What it costs

One price for the board. Nothing off the fare.

for twenty four hours of access

Charged for a day you choose to work, not for a month you might. A driver who takes a week off pays nothing that week, which is the difference between a subscription and a retainer.

Compare it against a commission: at twenty percent, a driver taking three hundred dollars of fares in a day hands over sixty of them. Here the fares are yours and the board is the only thing you pay for.

The parts nobody advertises

What a claim costs you, said before you make one.

These are the terms. They are on the marketing page rather than in a help article because a driver who discovers them after signing up was recruited, not told.

One duty, and this is it

Be online thirty minutes before a ride you claimed. Miss it and the ride is released to somebody else, honestly and with the reason recorded. That is the only obligation a claim creates.

Handing a ride back

Free up to six hours out and nothing is recorded at all. Inside that it is still free, it is just counted. There is no penalty and no fee, because a driver who cannot hand back a ride he cannot drive will simply not turn up instead.

A rider cancelling never counts against you

Inside two hours, half their fare reaches you whole, plus an offer to fill the gap it left. It is their cancellation, so it appears in their record and not in yours.

Recorded, never scored

Promises kept is shown as a count until there is enough volume for a rate to be honest. No consequence attaches to any of it today, and if that ever changes the rules come first.
